Frequently Asked Questions

72 DPI is sufficient for screen display, websites, and email. 150 DPI is a good all-purpose choice — it looks sharp on screen and prints reasonably well. 300 DPI is the standard for print-quality output and is best if you plan to print the images or use them in a design.
There is no page limit. However, converting a large document at 300 DPI may take some time, since each page is rendered individually in your browser. For very long documents, 72 or 150 DPI will convert much faster.
This tool currently exports as JPG, which is the best choice for photos and general content. JPG files are smaller than PNG, making them easier to share and embed. If you need transparency support or lossless compression, PNG would be a better choice — we'll add that option soon.
