Frequently Asked Questions

The reduction depends on the content of your PDF. Documents with many high-resolution images can be reduced by 50–80%. Text-heavy PDFs with no images may only reduce by 10–20%, since text is already efficiently encoded. High compression mode will yield the smallest file but may slightly reduce image quality.
No. Text and vector graphics are losslessly compressed and remain perfectly sharp at all zoom levels. Only embedded raster images (photos, scanned pages) may be slightly affected at High compression. Low and Medium modes are virtually lossless for typical business documents.
There's no server-imposed limit — you're only limited by your browser's available memory. Most computers can handle PDFs up to several hundred MB. For very large files (500MB+), we recommend splitting the PDF first, compressing each part, then merging them back.
